Alleged police encounters in Karachi leave several injured

KARACHI: Multiple police encounters allegedly took place late on Wednesday in the city of Karachi.

An alleged encounter took place in the Boot Basin area. According to the police, the suspects were apprehended while weapons were also seized by law enforcers. Cases have been registered against the arrested individuals in various police stations throughout the city.

Similarly, another alleged encounter took place in Sachal, Karachi, where an accused was arrested in an injured condition. The injured accused was transported to Jinnah Hospital for medical treatment.

Meanwhile, in Khandu Goth a neighbourhood in northern Karachi, a man was arrested on criminal charges, as per police reports. The accused underwent treatment in a local hospital post-arrest.

At least one person killed during a firing in Chorangi

At least one person was killed and several injured when unknown assailants opened fire near Vita Chorangi.

In yet another firing incident, a woman sustained serious injuries when armed attackers fired indiscriminately in Mehran Town, located in the Korangi Industrial Area.

Rescue efforts promptly reached the scene of crime, and transferred the woman t oa local hospital for treatment.
