Ad hoc tenure of Justices Masood and Miankhel ends today

ISLAMABAD: Justice Sardar Tariq Masood and Justice Mazhar Alam Miankhel will retire today after completing their one-year tenure as ad hoc judges.

Justice Sardar Tariq and Justice Mazhar Alam took oath as ad hoc judges of the Supreme Court on July 29, 2024. Former Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa had named both the judges as ad hoc judges.

The names of both the judges as ad hoc judges were approved in a meeting of the Judicial Council of Pakistan (JCP), which was afterwards signed by President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari.
