80 houses gutted in Chilas massive fire

CHILAS: As many as 80 houses were destroyed in a massive fire which engulfed Niyat Maducas area in Chilas city of Gilgit Baltistan on Saturday.

Residents of the area tried to control the fire on self-help basis as there was neither any communication system nor any road for transportation of necessary items in the area.

Blast in Quetta, two policemen killed

The victims are still waiting for any assistance under the open sky.

Gilgit Baltistan Chief Minister Gulbar Khan has already taken notice of the fire incident and directed Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of Diamir to submit a report after a thorough investigation into the horrible incident.

He further directed relevant authorities to provide all necessary assistance to the affected people.
