12 army jawans martyred in Bannu check post attack

BANNU: Twelve Pakistan army jawans have been martyred in a suicide attack on a check post in Bannu area of Malikhel, according to ISPR.

According to ISPR, terrorists attempted to enter the check post and upon being stopped by the army jawans they hit the wall of the check post with explosive-laden vehicle damaging part of the structure. As a result of the blast 12 Pak army soldiers were martyred.

Ten soldiers of the security forces and two soldiers of Frontier Constabulary were amongst the martyred soldiers, according to ISPR.

Sanitisation operation is being conducted in the area and the perpetrators of this heinous act will be brought to justice, the ISPR said.
