Shazia Manzoor receives Queen Elizabeth’s Honour

ISLAMABAD: Celebrated Pakistani singer Shazia Manzoor has recently been bestowed with a prestigious honour from Queen Elizabeth, according to recent revelations.

The Chan Mere Makhna singer is presently captivating audiences during her tour in Canada with her mesmerising performances.

According to The Express Tribune, Canadian parliamentarian Shafqat Ali took to Instagram to share pictures alongside the Pakistani star, unveiling her recognition with Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pin.

In a post featuring a carousel of images from the ceremony, Ali expressed, “It was such an honor to host Shazia Manzoor, a recognised and renowned Pakistani singer, and to recognize her for her contribution to art and culture and her commitment to bringing South Asian communities together through her song.”

He added, “It was such a blessing to meet the acclaimed Pride of Performance of Pakistan and to award her with Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pin. Thank you for visiting, and we hope to see you again soon.” Manzoor subsequently shared Ali’s post on her official account with a heart emoji.

However, the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pin is not the sole accolade bestowed upon the Batiyaan Bujhai Rakhdi snger.

Earlier this year, it was announced that Manzoor would receive the Pride of Performance award from the state of Pakistan next year for her substantial contributions to the music industry. The ceremony is scheduled for March 23 of the coming year.

Furthermore, the President of Pakistan unveiled a distinguished list of 694 individuals, hailing from both within the nation and abroad, set to receive civil awards for their remarkable contributions spanning various domains.
