Dramatist Khali ur Rehman kidnapped, robbed in Lahore

LAHORE: Sundar Police have registered a case following an incident involving robbery and kidnapping of renowned dramatist Khalil ur Rehman Qamar. According to the statement provided by Qamar, a woman named Amina contacted him, expressing a desire to create a drama.

Upon reaching his home, Qamar was accosted by armed men who abducted him. The First Information Report (FIR) details that the accused subjected Qamar to physical abuse and transported him to various locations. They demanded ransom from his relatives, threatening to kill him if their demands were not met.

The FIR further reveals that the accused stole Rehman’s mobile phone, watch, and cash. They also transferred Rs. 250,000 from his ATM card. Eventually, the perpetrators abandoned Qamar in a deserted location, blindfolded.

The police are conducting an investigation to apprehend the suspects involved in this incident.
