Tommy Lee Jones’ daughter Victoria Jones found dead at 34: what we know

Victoria Jones, the daughter of Oscar-winning actor Tommy Lee Jones, has died at the age of 34 after being found unresponsive at a San Francisco hotel on New Year’s Day, authorities have confirmed.

Emergency services were called to the Fairmont San Francisco in the early hours of January 1 following reports of a medical incident. The San Francisco Fire Department said responders arrived shortly before 3 a.m. local time, where a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police later attended the hotel to assist paramedics. The San Francisco Police Department confirmed officers responded to the call and declared an adult female deceased. While the individual was not publicly identified at the time, NBC Bay Area subsequently reported that a police source believed the woman to be Victoria Jones.

Officials have not released a cause of death. NBC Bay Area reported that investigators do not suspect foul play, though the case remains under review. The San Francisco Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has yet to issue further details.

Neither the Fairmont San Francisco nor representatives for Tommy Lee Jones immediately commented on the reports.

Victoria Jones was the daughter of Tommy Lee Jones, 79, and his former wife Kimberlea Cloughley. She is also survived by her older brother, Austin Jones, 43.

Although she lived largely outside the public spotlight, Victoria appeared in several screen projects during her childhood. She featured in her father’s 2002 film Men in Black II and later appeared in The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada in 2005, which he directed. She also made a brief appearance in the television series One Tree Hill in 2003.

Tommy Lee Jones is a veteran Hollywood actor whose career spans more than five decades. He won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for The Fugitive in 1993 and has since starred in films including JFK, No Country for Old Men, Lincoln and the Men in Black franchise.

Authorities have said no additional information is available at this stage.
