Thursday weather: chill persists, partly cloudy skies expected in several regions

WEB DESK: Cold and dry weather is expected to prevail across most parts of the country on Thursday, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said. Temperatures are also predicted to drop further in hilly regions where conditions will remain very cold and partly cloudy, according to the latest forecast.

In Islamabad and surrounding areas, the day is likely to remain cold and dry, while partly cloudy conditions may develop during the evening and night.

Across Punjab, most districts are expected to experience cold and dry weather. However, temperatures will be significantly lower in Murree, Galiat and nearby areas, where very cold conditions are forecast along with partly cloudy skies during the afternoon. Morning fog is also likely to affect several districts, including Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Sheikhupura, Jhang and surrounding areas, potentially reducing visibility.

Sindh is expected to remain cold and dry in most districts, while hilly areas of the province may experience very cold and partly cloudy conditions.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, cold and dry weather is likely to persist across most districts. Hilly areas are expected to remain very cold with partly cloudy skies, while morning fog may form in Mardan, Swabi and nearby regions.

Balochistan is forecast to experience cold and dry weather in most districts, with very cold and partly cloudy conditions expected in the northern parts of the province.

Meanwhile, very cold and partly cloudy weather is also expected in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan on Thursday.
