Quinton Aaron, best known for playing Michael Oher in The Blind Side, has been rushed to hospital following a health scare at his home, according to reports.
The 40-year-old actor has been receiving treatment at a hospital in Atlanta for several days after collapsing in his apartment last week. The incident occurred while he was walking up the stairs, when his legs suddenly stopped functioning, causing him to fall.
He was taken to hospital immediately, where doctors are continuing to run tests to determine what caused the collapse. According to his representative, Aaron is currently stable, able to communicate with his family and team, and receiving appropriate medical care.
Claims circulating online suggested that the actor was on life support due to a severe blood infection. However, his manager has disputed those reports, saying Aaron is stable and that there has been no definitive diagnosis at this stage.
Medical professionals are still evaluating his condition, and no further details about the cause of the health scare have been publicly confirmed.
Aaron and his family have asked for privacy as he continues treatment. His representative said they are grateful for the outpouring of support, prayers and well wishes from fans.
The latest incident follows a series of health challenges for the actor in recent years. In March 2025, Aaron was hospitalised in California after developing a fever and coughing up blood. At the time, he said doctors believed he was suffering from Type A flu and pneumonia.
In 2019, he also battled a severe upper respiratory infection.
More recently, in October 2025, Aaron spoke publicly about a dramatic 200-pound weight loss, sharing details of his health journey.
No further updates on his condition have been released.
