Temperature likely to drop to single digit in coming days in Karachi

KARACHI: Karachi experienced a further drop in the minimum temperature to 10°C on Wednesday. The Met Office reported a decrease in mercury levels, resulting in colder nights and mornings in the port city. Presently, the city’s temperature is recorded at 12°C.

The Met Office anticipates dry weather with colder nights over the next 24 hours, and the maximum temperature is expected to range between 24 to 26°C. The morning’s humidity level was recorded at 63 per cent.

In the upcoming days, Karachi is likely to witness single-digit temperatures, according to the Met Office. The forecast for most upper parts of the country indicates mainly cold and cloudy weather, with northern parts and north Balochistan experiencing very cold conditions over the next 12 hours. Dense fog and smog are expected to persist in the plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and upper Sindh.

The recorded temperatures in other major cities this morning are as follows: Islamabad and Peshawar at two °C. Lahore at five Quetta at minus-two °C Gilgit at minus-four degrees, Murree at one degree, and Muzaffarabad at three degrees Celsius.
