Six personnel martyred in IED blast on police vehicle in Tank

TANK: A deadly IED bomb blast targeted a police armored personnel carrier (APC) within the jurisdiction of Gomal Police Station, resulting in the martyrdom of six police officers, including the Additional Station House Officer (SHO) Ishaq Khan.
According to police reports, the explosion occurred while the APC was en route from Gomal Police Station to Tank. The powerful blast, believed to be the result of an improvised explosive device (IED), struck the armored vehicle, leading to the tragic loss of life.
Among the martyred was Additional SHO Ishaq Khan, a senior officer stationed at Gomal Police Station. His sacrifice has deeply affected the local police community and residents, as he was known for his dedication to duty and commitment to public safety.
Following the explosion, rescue teams quickly arrived at the scene, and the bodies of the fallen officers were transported to the District Headquarters Hospital Tank via ambulance services provided by 1122.
Authorities are conducting investigations into the attack and have heightened security measures in the region, as the rise in militant activity has heightened concerns for police and civilian safety.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has issued a condemnation of the Tank blast, and paid tribute to the martyrs. He also directed immediate investigation into incident.
