Section 144 enforced across Balochistan, including Quetta

QUETTA: The Balochistan government has enforced Section 144 across the province, including the provincial capital Quetta, to maintain law and order.

According to an official notification, the order bans the display of all kinds of weapons and prohibits public gatherings, rallies, and meetings at public places. The assembly of five or more people at one location has also been banned under the restrictions.

In addition, double riding on motorcycles has been prohibited across the province. However, women and children have been exempted from this restriction.

The notification states that Section 144 will remain in force throughout Balochistan until January 31, 2026. Authorities have warned that strict action will be taken against anyone found violating the order.
