Punjab govt decides to launch a telemedicine pilot project in Lahore

A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Punjab Minister for Health and Population, Khawaja Imran Nazeer, in which a deadline of December 15 was set to start the pilot project.

During the briefing, it was stated that in case of internet service disruption, the system will switch to a telephone helpline. On this occasion, Khawaja Imran Nazeer said that the public will be able to access specialist doctors’ services from home.

Basic Health Units (BHUs), as well as Rural Health Centers (RHCs) and “Clinic on Wheels,” will also be linked to the telemedicine system.
