Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrives in Quetta for one-day visit

WEB DESK:  Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Quetta for a significant one-day working visit on Thursday, focusing on high-level consultations and inaugurating key provincial development projects.

Upon his arrival, the Prime Minister was received by Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti and members of the provincial parliament. The visit’s agenda includes separate, focused meetings with the province’s top leadership.

At the Governor House, PM Sharif will hold a one-on-one meeting with Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail. The Governor will brief the Prime Minister on the progress of ongoing development initiatives and the prevailing socio-economic and security situation in the province.

Subsequently, the Prime Minister will meet with Chief Minister Bugti and his cabinet at the Chief Minister’s House. The discussions would be on coordinated strategies for accelerating development, addressing public welfare issues, and enhancing federal-provincial cooperation to ensure Balochistan’s progress.

The visit will conclude with a public ceremony in the DHA area of Quetta, where Prime Minister Sharif will inaugurate two major projects. He formally opened the N-25 Karachi-Chaman Highway, a critical national trade and transit corridor, and also inaugurated new Danish Schools in the province, underscoring the government’s commitment to education and infrastructure development.
