The commercialization aims to develop and operate a facility or service with a focus on generating revenue and profit.
It also involves transforming it into a place where various commercial activities can take place, such as retail businesses, restaurants, and other services, to increase income for the railway department and promote economic growth in the area.
Minister Tarar emphasized that railway stations will continue to play a crucial role as commercial hubs in the future, not only earning substantial revenue but also creating significant economic opportunities on a large scale.
The proposed improvements to the Rawalpindi Railway Station and its vicinity are expected to enhance its commercial viability, benefiting all stakeholders involved.
