PM cancels visit to Peshawar

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Anwar Haq Kakar canceled his visit to Peshawar on Thursday due to personal engagements.

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar Haq Kakar was scheduled to depart for Peshawar today on a two-day visit.

Due to cancellation of the visit the program at Governor House Peshawar was also cancelled.

Prime Minister was also scheduled to hold meetings with the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the caretaker Chief Minister, and members of the cabinet.

Removal of PM sought

PM was also to be briefed on the steps taken to implement the APEX committee decision for the expulsion of the illegal Afghan immigrants from the country, sources said.

Additionally, the Caretaker Prime Minister was to preside over a meeting focused on law and order and receive a briefing on various critical matters, including the smuggling of dollars and sugar, among other issues.
