Percy Jackson and the Olympians is officially back for season two, and fans now have a confirmed release rollout, streaming guide and a clearer picture of what lies ahead for the demigod heroes. The Disney+ and Hulu series, based on Rick Riordan’s bestselling novels, returned on Wednesday, December 10 with a two-episode premiere.
Season one closely followed The Lightning Thief, which saw Percy discover his true identity as the son of Poseidon and embark on his first dangerous quest. Season two continues that journey with far higher stakes, darker threats and a mission that turns deeply personal.
What Percy Jackson season 2 is about
The new season adapts Riordan’s second novel, The Sea of Monsters, and once again closely mirrors the structure of the original book. This time, Camp Half-Blood is under threat after its protective magical barrier begins to fail when Thalia’s tree is poisoned.
The only way to save the camp is to recover the Golden Fleece, sending Percy, Annabeth and their allies into the Sea of Monsters, known to mortals as the Bermuda Triangle. The quest becomes even more urgent when Grover is lured into danger, turning the mission into both a battle for survival and a race to save their closest friend.
