Pakistan’s global standing strengthened after war victory: Ambassador Rizwan Saeed

WEB DESK: Pakistan’s ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, has said that Pakistan achieved an unprecedented level of global recognition following its victory in the war.

Speaking to the media in Washington, the ambassador said Pakistan has consistently played a vital role in international security and that the country’s successful diplomacy over the past year was the result of strong leadership. He noted that Pakistan’s global standing after the war was unlike anything seen before.

Rizwan Saeed Sheikh said relations between Pakistan and the United States improved over the past year, adding that bilateral ties have historically experienced ups and downs. He said Pakistan is now working closely with the new US administration to further strengthen cooperation.

Highlighting the importance of media, the ambassador said journalists are key stakeholders in the diplomatic process and that Pakistan’s diplomatic engagement in the United States is progressing successfully. He added that Pakistan and the United States can together play an important role in promoting peace and stability globally, reiterating that Pakistan has always contributed to international security efforts.
