Pakistan sees massive decrease in gold price

KARACAHI: In a noteworthy shift, the price of gold per tola decreased by Rs2,600 on Monday, on the first day of the trading week.

According to All-Pakistan Sarafa Association, after the massive decline, the price of per tola gold closed at Rs2,904,000.

Additionally, the price of 10 grams of gold has experienced a decrease of Rs2,229, bringing its price to a total of Rs1,79,527 per tola.

Over the course of a week, the price of gold in Pakistan has decreased by over Rs28,800 per tola.

on the other hand, the Pakistani rupee’s upward trajectory against the US dollar continued on Monday as the local currency settled at Rs301.16 against the dollar in the inter-bank market on Monday.

By the time the market closed, the US dollar had weakened by 0.59 per cent against the local currency, while the local currency witnessed a gain of Rs1.79, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
