During the talks, the foreign minister congratulated the chief executive on the successful launch of IOMed, describing it as a significant achievement aligned with President Xi Jinping’s vision for international cooperation and dispute resolution.

He underscored Hong Kong’s strategic position as a global bridge between East and West and its emerging role in international mediation efforts.

“The launch of IOMed reflects the spirit of dialogue-driven diplomacy—an approach that Pakistan deeply supports and that aligns closely with the UN Charter,” Dar said.

The Foreign Minister also lauded the Pakistani community in Hong Kong for playing a meaningful role in enhancing bilateral relations and contributing positively to the city’s economy and cultural diversity.

Chief Executive John Lee warmly welcomed Senator Dar and expressed Hong Kong’s willingness to deepen engagement with Pakistan across multiple sectors.
