Pakistan calls for Afghan territory to be cleared of all forms of terrorism

WEB DESK: Pakistan has urged that Afghan soil be completely cleared of all forms of terrorism without exception, emphasizing the need for stability and security in the region.

The call came during a meeting of special envoys from Afghanistan’s neighboring countries, held in Tehran. Representatives from Pakistan, other neighboring nations, and Russia attended the session to discuss regional security and the situation in Afghanistan.

Speaking at the meeting, Pakistan’s envoy, Mohammad Sadiq, described terrorism originating from Afghan soil as a serious challenge for the region and stressed that the Afghan people, who have endured immense hardships, deserve a better future.

Sadiq also called on Afghanistan’s de facto rulers to take concrete steps to alleviate the struggles of their citizens. He emphasised that restoring regional trust requires Afghan territory to be free from terrorist elements, which is essential for fostering peace and cooperation among neighboring countries
