WEB DESK: The Pakistan Air Force has successfully conducted a flight test of the indigenously developed Taimoor Weapon System, marking another major milestone in the enhancement of Pakistan’s national air and defence capabilities.

According to a PAF spokesperson, the Taimoor air-launched cruise missile is capable of striking enemy land and sea targets with high precision at a range of up to 600 kilometres, carrying a conventional warhead. The missile is equipped with state-of-the-art navigation and guidance systems and has been designed to fly at extremely low altitudes, enabling it to effectively evade hostile air and missile defence systems.

Senior officers of the armed forces, along with leading scientists and engineers, were present to witness the successful flight test, the spokesperson said.

In a statement issued following the test, Chief of Air Staff, Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, congratulated the scientists, engineers, and the entire Pakistan Air Force team on the achievement. He praised their professionalism, dedication, and unwavering commitment to strengthening Pakistan’s defence capabilities.

The successful test underscores Pakistan’s continued focus on indigenous defence development and technological self-reliance in strategic weapon systems.
