Nick Jonas has confirmed his return to solo music with the announcement of a new album, Sunday Best, marking his first standalone project in years and signalling a new creative chapter away from the Jonas Brothers.
The 33-year-old singer revealed the news on Instagram on 30 November, sharing the album’s cover art and a note to fans. “I have been working on new music that I am really proud of, and I wanted to find a special way to share the first piece of it with you,” he wrote, prompting a wave of excitement across social media.
Set for release on 6 February 2026, Sunday Best arrives at a time when Nick has remained active with the Jonas Brothers reunion tours, television appearances and brand ventures. His decision to return to solo work adds a new dimension to his recent projects and hints at a shift in musical direction.
The announcement followed a themed “Sunday Best Brunch” event hosted at his family’s Las Vegas restaurant, where Jonas teased the upcoming era with curated playlists, visuals and interactions with fans who attended the intimate gathering. The event fuelled speculation about a solo project, but the official confirmation sparked a much larger reaction online.
Fans react to the new era

Jonas last released solo material with Last Year Was Complicated in 2016 and Spaceman in 2021, both of which showcased his R&B pop influences and a more introspective style of songwriting. With Sunday Best, fans are already speculating about the sound and themes he may explore next.
As the Jonas Brothers continue to work as a trio and pursue individual ventures, Jonas’s upcoming album suggests 2026 may be a year of parallel chapters, both as part of the band and as a solo artist shaping his own creative path once again.
