During the meeting, it was also decided that motorcyclists will install chain covers on their chain sprockets, and headlights, tail lights, hazard lights. Motorcyclists will ensure that indicators are in proper working condition with registration plates clearly being visible on both sides.

It was decided that motorcyclists will also use rearview mirrors and carry their driving licences at all times. They will follow lane discipline by riding on the left side of the road. Fines will be imposed on those riding in the middle or right lanes, it was decided.

Moreover, vehicles will be equipped with GPS trackers, dash cams, rearview cameras, and cabin cameras to preserve evidence in case of accidents and monitor driver behaviour.

Oil tankers had been instructed to install buffer plates. A modern traffic monitoring system will be implemented, including automatic number plate recognition cameras to detect violations such as running red lights and stopping beyond the designated stop line.

Similarly, speed cameras will be installed to enforce speed limits, and lane monitoring cameras will identify vehicles in the wrong lane.

Repeat offenders will face increased fines, with an additional Rs2,500 penalty for repeat violations.

The traffic police also decided to gradually impose restrictions on Qingqi rickshaws.

Five major roads have been declared off-limits for them, including II Chundrigar Road (Shaheen Complex to Tower); Shahrah-e-Faisal (Avari to Star Gate); Khaliq-ul-Zaman Road (Lily Signal to Submarine Underpass); Sir Shah Suleman Road (Liaquatabad No. 10 to Stadium) and Rashid Minhas Road (Drigh Road to Sohrab Goth)
