Nawaz Sharif’s homecoming date confirmed

ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)’s supremo Nawaz Sharif will return to Pakistan on October 21 after ending four-year of self-exile.

The decision was taken during a meeting held in London under Nawaz Sharif’s leadership. The meeting was attended by key figures including Shehbaz Sharif, Salman Shehbaz, Hassan Nawaz, Khawaja Asif and other leaders.

During the meeting, discussions revolved around Nawaz Sharif’s return to Pakistan and the practicalities of participating in the next general election.

During the meeting, the Pakistan Peoples Party’s stance on the elections was also discussed.

Former prime minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that Nawaz Sharif will reach Pakistan on October 21, and a warm welcome will be accorded to him upon his return.

Nawaz Sharif’s arrival will be celebrated with rallies in various parts of the country, with Lahore being a significant focal point.

It is worth noting that Nawaz Sharif had traveled to the United Kingdom for medical treatment in November 2019.
