NADRA launches emergency registration services for Afghan nationals

PESHAWAR: The National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) has initiated critical services in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) to expedite the registration of Afghan nationals returning to their homeland.

As part of this effort, at least 22 mobile vans have been deployed in Landi Kotal to facilitate the registration process.

A dedicated team of 140 Nadra employees is operating 20 counters with mobile vans at the transit point, ensuring round-the-clock service availability.

Sindh to set up detention camps for keeping illegal Afghan immigrants

Starting from November 1, Nadra has significantly boosted its daily registration capacity to accommodate up to 15,000 individuals.

In a recent development on Sunday, 6,584 illegal Afghan nationals were successfully repatriated to their home country.

This group included 1,878 men, 1,624 women, and 3,082 children. Notably, the total number of illegal Afghans who have returned to their homeland has reached 188,738.

The efficient and timely services provided by Nadra have garnered positive feedback and appreciation from foreign visitors at the border, underscoring the agency’s dedication to facilitating the return of Afghan nationals to their home country.
