Motorway sections closed across Punjab due to dense fog

Dense fog forces closure of M-3, M-4 and M-5 Motorways

LAHORE: Several sections of major motorways across Punjab were closed for traffic on Sunday due to dense fog, according to the Motorway police.

The motorway police announced that Motorway M-5 from Multan to Zahir Pir has been closed for all traffic as visibility dropped sharply.

Similarly, Motorway M-3 from Faizpur to Darkhana was shut down due to hazardous driving conditions caused by thick fog.

Authorities also closed Motorway M-4 from Gojra to Abdul Hakeem, as well as the M-4 section from Faisalabad to Multan, citing poor visibility and safety concerns.

The Motorway Police have advised motorists to avoid unnecessary travel, use fog lights, and maintain safe distances if driving becomes unavoidable.

Travellers are urged to stay updated through official advisories and plan their journeys accordingly until visibility improves and roads are reopened.

Further updates will be issued as conditions change.
