LAHORE: The Lahore High Court has dismissed petitions challenging the success of 20 candidates, including Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Vice-President Maryam Nawaz, in the general election.
Justice Ali Baqir Najafi of the Lahore High Court announced the verdict reserved earlier.
Among the candidates whose success had been challenged included Hamza Shahbaz, Khawaja Asif, Atta Tarar, and Awn Chaudhry.
The petitions had contested the election results, which the court has now dismissed. The court directed the petitioners to pursue their grievances with the Election Commission of Pakistan.
