Jail, then Jannah? Ducky Bhai reveals how prison changed his faith

The YouTube star, who spent three months behind bars, is finally breaking his silence, sharing how jail time didn’t just pause his content calendar but completely rewired his mindset, lifestyle, and relationship with faith.

In his most recent revelation, Pakistan’s popular digital creator and YouTuber Saad-ur-Rehman, widely known as Ducky Bhai, has opened up about the three months he spent in jail, calling it the most difficult yet life-changing period of his life.

With over nine million subscribers, Ducky Bhai is currently Pakistan’s most followed YouTuber. In a recent exclusive interview, he spoke candidly about his arrest by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), the freezing of his bank accounts, and the confiscation of his money, describing the experience as mentally and physically exhausting.

Despite the hardships, Ducky Bhai termed his imprisonment a turning point, saying it completely transformed his thinking, lifestyle, and spiritual outlook.

Speaking about his religious journey, he revealed that before his arrest, he often neglected his prayers. However, from the day he was taken into custody, he did not miss a single prayer. “I believe this time was meant to bring me closer to Allah Almighty. I remembered Allah only in difficult times; perhaps this was my selfishness, and Allah wanted me to change,” he said.

Ducky Bhai also shared details about life and health in jail, stating that the simple diet of wheat bread and basic food led to noticeable weight loss. While he admitted craving fast food, he acknowledged that the simplicity of prison life ultimately proved beneficial for his physical health.

Reflecting on his social media career, he said that controversies once had little impact on him, but his outlook has now changed significantly. “I no longer see social media the same way. I continue this work only for my fans, because they wait for me,” he said.

Ducky Bhai also offered advice to fellow content creators, warning them to be more cautious. “Every YouTuber can make mistakes, just like I did. Before uploading anything, it must be checked. One wrong step on the internet can change [our] entire life,” he said.
