ISLAMABAD: With the general elections 2024 around the corner, the internal strife within Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is intensifying and if this situation continues, there is a fear of serious political damage to the party.
The central leadership sans the leadership of former prime minister Imran Khan has not been able to take a final decision to run the election campaign. The role of Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan and Umeer Niazi in the distribution of tickets in the recent election is known to be the most important and the leadership of PTI Punjab has also accused of unfair distribution of tickets and selling them.
The personalities who are not getting tickets are ready to run an election campaign against the candidate of their own party.
One of the main problems of PTI is that the central leadership is divided in decision-making regarding the election campaign.
The statements against each other between Sher Ali Marwat and the General Secretary of the party Rouf Hassan have made the PTI internal differences more intense.
Rather, a new debate has started across the country. To deal with this whole situation, the role of the senior leader of the party Gohar Ali Khan is very important and he is trying to take all the people involved in the central leadership together and the leadership does not suffer from differences in any decision but Currently, their efforts do not seem to be successful.
