Imam-e-Kaaba Sheikh Saleh bin Humaid arrives in Pakistan on a four-day visit

ISLAMABAD:  Imam-e-Kaaba Sheikh Saleh bin Humaid on Wednesday arrived in islamabad for a four-day visit aimed at enhancing the longstanding and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

A significant highlight of his visit includes leading the Friday Prayer at the  Faisal Mosque.

During his stay, Imam-e-Kaaba is scheduled to engage in meetings with the President, Prime Minister, Chief of Army Staff, and other high-ranking officials, underlining the diplomatic significance of the visit.

Prominent figures, including Federal Interior Minister Sarfraz Bugti, Federal Minister for Education Madad Ali Sindhi, Chairman of Pakistan Ulema Council Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, and Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, along with several other senior officials, extended a warm welcome to Imam-e-Kaaba upon his arrival, reinforcing the camaraderie between the two nations.

Who is Imam-e-Kaaba Sheikh Saleh bin Humaid?

Born in the Saudi city of Buraydah, Sheikh Saleh bin Humaid achieved the esteemed title of Hafiz-e-Qur’an at the age of 20. Possessing both master’s and PhD degrees from Makkah’s Umm Al Qurra University, he has been a prominent figure since his appointment as an imam at the Masjid Al Haram in 1983.
