Haris Rauf escapes scary on-field accident in BBL, video goes viral

SYDNEY: Pakistani fast bowler Haris Rauf, playing for Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League, narrowly escaped a dangerous on-field accident that left fans and commentators shocked.

The incident occurred during the 14th match of the BBL, between the Melbourne Stars and the Sydney Thunder. Haris was in top form, taking 3 crucial wickets for just 29 runs and winning the Man of the Match award.

The scary moment came in the final over of Sydney Thunder’s innings. On the fourth ball, Reece Topley smashed a powerful shot, sending the ball high in the air. Haris Rauf, at short third man, and Hilton Cartwright, at deep point, ran towards it at full speed. Both dived for the catch, and for a few tense moments, it looked like their heads could collide.

Luckily, both players avoided serious injury. Even the commentators were visibly shaken, calling it a potentially life-threatening incident. Afterwards, the players checked on each other and continued the game. Thankfully, no one was hurt.
