Gold rate rises by over Rs2,000 per tola in Pakistan

Gold price in Pakistan today

Gold became more expensive in Pakistan on Saturday as a rise in global trading helped lift local prices once again.

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, the rate of gold per tola reached Rs428,862 after a day’s jump of Rs2,300. The price for 10 gram also moved up, settling at Rs367,680 after an increase of Rs1,972.

The uptick comes a day after prices stayed unchanged on Friday when a tola was priced at Rs426,562.

Global surge reflects in local market

International prices also strengthened, gaining $23 to touch $4,065 per ounce. Traders said the figure includes a premium of $20, which has become a regular feature of recent pricing.

Silver followed the same trend. Its rate rose by Rs48 to reach Rs5,270 per tola, continuing the pattern of steady increases seen over the past few weeks.

Jewellers noted that the jumps mirror global uncertainty that often drives investors towards precious metals, adding that weekend buying also tends to push demand slightly higher in the local market.
