KARACHI: The police has failed to catch the prime suspect in the Fatima murder case despite conducting raids at various localities.
Ten-year-old Fatima, a child maid, met a tragic demise under horrifying circumstances at Asad Shah’s Haveli, with a video of her death circulating widely on social media.
Police conducted the operation at the residence of the influential Pirs of Ranipur family on Khayaban-e-Shamsher, situated in Karachi’s upscale Defence Society area, according to informed sources.
The raid was undertaken with the objective of apprehending two suspects named in the murder case: Hina Shah and Fayyaz Shah. The raid took place at the home of Niaz Shah, who is the brother of accused Fayyaz Shah, as confirmed by police sources.
Regrettably, no individuals were detained during the police operation. “The accused have turned off their mobile phones to evade arrest,” stated the police.
“We are actively pursuing the investigation with technical assistance,” noted investigative officials.
Despite approximately four weeks passing since the incident, co-accused Hina Shah, who is the wife of the main accused Asad Shah, remains at large.
