Farrukh Habib’s spouse pens her concerns to SC CJ

ISLAMABAD: The spouse of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Farrukh Habib has taken her plea for his recovery to the Supreme Court.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan, she beseeches the Chief Justice to swiftly take notice of Farrukh Habib’s disappearance and ensure his safe return.

An application for his arbitrary detention has been filed with the Lahore High Court, but regrettably, no significant progress has been reported on this matter, as per Mrs. Farrukh Habib.

In spite of a court order, Farrukh Habib has not been presented in any legal forum, leading to concerns about the circumstances surrounding his absence, she said.

His wife has expressed apprehension that her husband might be under pressure to alter his political affiliation, further voicing concerns about potential severe violence and torture being inflicted during his absence.
