WEB DESK: In the world of technology, the current buzz is not about a new invention but about competition, differences and rivalry.
Who isn’t familiar with Tesla and SpaceX owner Elon Musk and Amazon chief Jeff Bezos, the tech moguls frequently listed among the world’s richest individuals? Both are constantly engaged in business competition, each striving to climb higher on the list of the wealthiest.
The rivalry escalated recently when Jeff Bezos announced his artificial intelligence platform, “Project Prometheus”, on social media. Elon Musk, closely following Bezos’ post, responded immediately.
Elon Musk shared Bezos’ post with a sarcastic caption saying “Copy” and even added a cat emoji — calling his business rival a “copycat,” something he has done several times before.
Recently, Bezos’ company Amazon launched an internet-beaming satellite project and also acquired Zoox, a company specializing in driverless vehicles.
Musk, of course, already runs successful businesses in both these sectors and had previously mocked Bezos for attempting similar ventures.
On the other hand, Bezos has consistently dismissed Musk’s criticisms, maintaining that business is not anyone’s inheritance.
He once stated that the revolution he has brought could not even be imagined by those with a “shallow mind.”
If the rivalry between these two tech giants remains healthy and competitive, it could ultimately benefit consumers with groundbreaking new technologies.
