Eleven terrorists killed in two security operations in KP: ISPR

Security forces kill seven Khawarij terrorists in North Waziristan

WEB DESK: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday that security forces killed 11 terrorists in two separate operations carried out in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to a statement, an intelligence-based operation was conducted in North Waziristan district after reports of the presence of terrorists. During the operation, security forces effectively targeted a militant hideout and, following an intense exchange of fire, killed six terrorists.

In a separate operation in Kurram district, security forces engaged another group of militants, resulting in the killing of five terrorists after a gun battle.

The ISPR said weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain terrorists, who were described as Indian-sponsored militants. The recovered arms were allegedly used in several terrorist attacks against security forces and law enforcement agencies, as well as in the targeted killing of civilians.

The military’s media wing added that sanitisation operations were ongoing in the area to eliminate any remaining Indian-sponsored terrorists.

It reaffirmed that the security forces and law enforcement agencies would continue their “relentless counter-terrorism campaign” under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam to ensure lasting stability.
