Earthquake jolts parts of the country

ISLAMABAD: An earthquake of 5.1 magnitude jolted various parts of the country on Monday morning around 9:40 a.m. The affected countries include Pakistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan.
According to the reports, the tremors were felt in Islamabad and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Peshawar, Mardan, Swat, Lower Dir, and Bajaur.
According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC) in Islamabad, the earthquake’s epicentre was located 27 km from Salarzai Tehsil.

No damages or casualties resulting from the earthquake have been reported.
Residents across the affected regions took to social media to share their experiences and discuss the sudden tremors.
Many reported feeling the ground shake and experiencing moments of anxiety as the quake subsided. Some individuals expressed concern about the potential aftershocks, a common phenomenon following a seismic event.
