Deputy PM Ishaq Dar arrives in Beijing, after diplomatic calls with UAE, Türkiye

BEIJING: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar has arrived in Beijing, where he will co-chair the Pakistan-China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue with his Chinese counterpart, according to the Foreign Office.
During his visit, the Deputy Prime Minister will also participate in events marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, reflecting the long-standing strategic partnership between the two countries.
Earlier, Dar alsi held separate telephone conversations with senior leaders from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Türkiye to discuss the evolving regional situation.
In a phone call with the Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE, both leaders reviewed regional developments and expressed satisfaction over the improving situation in the region. Ishaq Dar appreciated the positive outcomes achieved through dialogue and diplomacy, a statement from the Foreign Office spokesperson said.
FM Dar also spoke with the Foreign Minister of Türkiye. The two leaders exchanged views on regional challenges and commended the serious efforts being made by all parties to resolve issues through diplomatic engagement.
During the conversation, Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s desire to further strengthen bilateral cooperation with Türkiye in areas of mutual interest, including trade, technology, tourism, and information technology.
