ISLAMABAD: Senator Ishaq Dar, the senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and the head of his party’s coordination committee, has asked the leaders of his party and the Pakistan People’s Party to follow the rules agreed upon for the dialogue between the two parties.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Dar said that it was decided that no member or leader of the coordination committees formed by the two parties would comment on the ongoing discussion and the points discussed in it.
He said that the final points had not yet been settled between the parties and consultations continued till yesterday on various proposals.
He said that four rounds of consultation had been completed and the fifth session had been scheduled for Monday afternoon.
He expressed hope that important progress would be made in tomorrow’s meeting.
He said that a formal joint declaration of both parties would be issued after the consultation was completed.
He said that it was not appropriate to discuss anything before the consultation was completed as per the agreed procedure between the two parties.
