COAS Asim Munir meets ASP Shehrbano Naqvi

ISLMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Syed Asim Munir on Wednesday held a meeting with Assistant Superintendent of Police Syeda Shehrbano Naqvi, commending her courageous act of rescuing a woman from a violent mob at Lahore’s Ichhra Bazaar.

The Army Chief praised ASP Naqvi for her selfless dedication to duty and professional handling of a tense situation, which helped in calming down the charged mob.

“The fearless officer extricated a woman from the difficult milieu of Ichhra Bazaar in Lahore on February 26,” a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations said.

The Army Chief reiterated the importance of adhering to the law and warned against resorting to vigilante actions, advocating instead for utilizing legal avenues to address grievances and concerns.
