Cipher case: Judge consults law ministry

ISLAMABAD:  Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain of the Special Secret Act Court has penned a letter addressed to the Ministry of Law and Justice, raising concerns about the venue for the forthcoming hearing of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman in the cipher case.

In his letter, Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain has inquired about the potential security risks associated with summoning the former Prime Minister Imran Khan to the Judicial Complex, given the current circumstances.

He emphasized the significance of ensuring the security of the chairman of PTI, considering his prominent role in the political arena.

The judge underscored in the communication that the hearing at the Judicial Complex will proceed only if there are no apparent security threats.
