ISLAMABAD: In a significant step towards modernizing administrative processes, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) inked an agreement on Friday to digitize all official operations of the authority.
The agreement entails the implementation of a state-of-the-art property management system aimed at digitizing citizen property records. As part of the initiative, an e-office will be established in line with the collaboration between the Capital Development Authority and PITB.
An official from CDA emphasized that the digitization effort aims to ensure transparency in property-related information, eliminating issues such as record tampering, misplacement, or unauthorized access. The modernization of land and property records will provide a secure and efficient means of record-keeping.
Moreover, the initiative seeks to empower the Capital Development Authority through the adoption of modern tools and technologies, advancing the concept of ‘smart governance.’ By leveraging the latest tools, CDA aims to enhance its decision-making processes and facilitate citizens and applicants with expedited services for allotments, transfers, and other procedures.
The official highlighted that the project’s focal point is the introduction of “smart applications” to promote e-empowerment among Islamabad’s citizens. Through a unified system, citizens will have access to their property and land records with a simple click, using their unique identification and password.
