Busta Rhymes confronted a TikTok prankster at Art Basel in Miami after the content creator deliberately referred to him as comedian Tracy Morgan during what appeared to be a friendly photo moment.
The rapper’s mood shifted instantly after the remark, with witnesses describing the moment as tense and disrespectful. Busta quickly shut the interaction down and demanded the camera be turned off, making it clear he did not appreciate the attempted joke.
Another social media creator, known as Funny Salesman, was present nearby as the confrontation unfolded. Onlookers could be heard criticising the prank, calling it inappropriate given Busta Rhymes’ long-standing status in hip hop.
Despite the heated exchange, no physical confrontation took place, and Busta ultimately walked away after verbally checking the prankster.
The incident follows a long-running internet joke comparing Busta Rhymes to Tracy Morgan. In 2020, rapper 50 Centshared an old photo of the two together after Busta posted a fitness update, joking about their resemblance.
Busta Rhymes album update
In separate news, Busta Rhymes revealed in August that he is working on a new album titled Vengeance while receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. At the time, he said the goal was to release the project in early September.
That timeline passed without the album dropping, and its official release date remains unclear. The project follows two EPs he released earlier this year, Dragon Season… The Awakening and Dragon Season… Equinox.
