ISLAMABAD: In a surprising turn of events, Bushra Bibi, wife of PTI Chief, cast a vote of ‘no-trust’ against Islamabad High Court (IHC) Chief Justice Aamer Farooq on Thursday.
The revelation occurred during a hearing on a plea seeking a private meeting between Bushra Bibi and her incarcerated husband, PTI Chairman, in Adiala Jail.
Expressing dissatisfaction with the IHC CJ, Bushra Bibi requested the transfer of her plea to another bench.
Her lawyer argued before the IHC, asserting that the decisions made by the current bench were ‘same in nature.’
“We request you to transfer all of our cases to another bench,” the lawyer urged the IHC CJ during the proceedings. Responding to the plea, the IHC CJ cautioned against inappropriate remarks and assured that the matter would be considered.

Subsequently, the court issued notices to the bar councils regarding Bushra Bibi’s plea.
Notably, in her plea, the spouse of the PTI chief highlighted that, in compliance with court directives, she was permitted to meet her husband every Tuesday.
However, she raised concerns about the lack of privacy during these meetings due to the presence of jail staff, prompting her to seek directives for private meetings with the PTI chief at Adiala Jail.
