Boat capsizes near Manora; six rescued, search for four under way

KARACHI: A boat carrying 10 people capsized in the sea near Manora in Karachi.
Officials, while briefing Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, said the incident occurred after the boat collided with a vessel near China Port.
According to the briefing, six of the 10 people on board have been rescued, while a search operation is still under way for the remaining four.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah expressed grief over the incident and directed authorities to speed up rescue efforts, stressing that saving human lives should be the top priority.
He also instructed the deputy commissioner Keamari to immediately send his team to the site to oversee the rescue operation.
Following the incident, the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) has launched an investigation.
PMSA sources said all aspects are being examined, including possible crew negligence and strong winds.
