Barcelona locked in goalless stalemate against Oviedo in La Liga

BARCELONA: FC Barcelona were being held to a goalless draw by Real Oviedo during their La Liga encounter, despite dominating possession and controlling the tempo of the match.

At this stage of play, Barcelona enjoyed a strong 81 per cent live win probability, while the chances of a draw stood at 13 per cent and Oviedo at 6 per cent. However, the home side had yet to register a shot on target, with both teams failing to create clear scoring opportunities.

Barcelona completed 125 passes with an impressive 90 per cent accuracy, reflecting their dominance in midfield. Oviedo, on the other hand, managed 40 passes at 72 per cent accuracy, focusing on defensive discipline. The visitors committed five fouls, compared to three by Barcelona.

The match remained controlled and cautious, with Barcelona receiving one yellow card, while Oviedo avoided any bookings. Offside calls stood at one for Barcelona and four for Oviedo, while no corners were recorded by either side.

In the La Liga standings, Barcelona currently sit second with 60 points from 21 matches, trailing leaders Real Madrid by one point. Real Oviedo remain bottom of the table with 14 points, continuing to struggle for form this season.
