ISLAMABAD: The investigation into the alleged corruption of the Bahria Town and the 190 million pounds reference has taken a new turn.
Former Minister for Defence Production, Zubaida Jalal Khan, has disclosed new information to the NAB team handling the case.
According to the former minister, cabinet members recommended an investigation into the case and were also of the opinion that the 190 million pounds should be repatriated to Pakistan.
However, Jalal stated that the former Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan ignored the cabinet’s recommendations to investigate the matter.

“The discretion used by accused Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi by including the case directly into the Cabinet after personal meeting with Mirza Shahzad Akbar coupled with the fact that Confidentiality Deed was signed and submitted before the Cabinet Meeting establishes that both the accused persons were in haste to conceal their crime/wrong doings”, read the report.
