Rupees continues to strengthen, gold prices decline

KARACHI: The Pakistani rupee continued to strengthen against the US dollar, gaining 0.36 percent during the opening hours of trading in the inter-bank market on Friday.

At midday, the rupee was hovering at 282.60, an increase of Rs1.02, in the inter-bank market.

On Thursday, the rupee had appreciated 0.37 percent to settle at 283.62.

Saudi Riyal (SAR) has witnessed a decline in its value against the Pakistani Rupee (PKR). The new exchange rate stands at Rs74.44, representing a decrease of Rs1.18 compared to the previous day’s rate of PKR 75.62.

Today 1 SAR to PKR conversion rate is Rs74.44 as Saudi Riyal to PKR buying and selling rates are different in interbank and currency exchange or open market rates. Saudi Riyal to Pakistani Rupee has been decreased by Rs1.18 in open bank trading.

On Friday, the current rate for 24-karat gold is Rs188,000 per tola, while those interested in 22-karat gold can acquire it at Rs172,333 per tola.

For individuals looking to purchase smaller quantities, 10 grams of 24-karat gold are now priced at Rs161,180, and 10 grams of 22-karat gold can be obtained for Rs147,748.
