MULTAN: The National Savings division has announced the results of the Rs200 Prize Bond Draw held in Multan on Monday, September 15, 2025, drawing keen attention from thousands of hopeful investors across the country.
The eagerly awaited quarterly draw offered a chance for small and medium-scale savers to turn their modest investments into life-changing rewards.
The draw was conducted at the National Savings Centre in Multan under strict supervision to ensure transparency and fairness.
Officials from the Central Directorate of National Savings (CDNS) and representatives of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) oversaw the proceedings, which were held in front of the public using a hand-operated draw machine operated by special children, a long-standing tradition aimed at demonstrating the openness of the process.
Winning numbers
According to the official results, the grand prize of Rs750,000 went to bond number 401981, turning one lucky investor into an overnight winner. The second prize of Rs250,000 each was secured by five winners holding bond numbers 043052, 529272, 612161, 825972 and 896794. Meanwhile, 1,696 winners took home the third prize of Rs1,250 each.
The CDNS confirmed that the next Rs200 prize bond draw is scheduled to be held in Lahore on December 15, 2025, giving investors another opportunity to try their luck before the year ends.
A popular government-backed scheme
Prize bonds have long been regarded as one of the most popular government-backed saving instruments in Pakistan, offering citizens a safe place to park their money while keeping alive the hope of winning substantial cash prizes.
Currently, there are four denominations of national prize bonds in circulation: Rs100, Rs200, Rs750 and Rs1,500. Each carries its own prize structure, with the Rs200 denomination offering one first prize of Rs750,000, five second prizes of Rs250,000 each, and thousands of third prizes worth Rs1,250.
The prize bond scheme is administered by the CDNS under the Ministry of Finance and supported by the SBP Banking Services Corporation (SBP-BSC). Draws are held four times a year for each denomination at different cities across Pakistan, and the entire process is open to the public. Anyone with a valid CNIC can attend these ceremonies.
How to claim prize money
Winners can claim their prize money by submitting a duly filled claim form, along with their original winning bond, a copy of their valid CNIC, and bank account details, at any SBP-BSC office, designated commercial bank branch, or National Savings Centre.
Prizes of up to Rs500,000 can be claimed at commercial banks, while amounts above that must be claimed from SBP-BSC offices. The prize money is usually credited within five to fifteen working days, depending on the amount.
It is also important to note that tax is deducted on prize money under Section 156 of the Income Tax Ordinance 2001, 15 percent for filers and 30 percent for non-filers.
The official list of winning numbers from the Multan draw has been made available on the CDNS website.
